Rainier Beach High School Academic Sports Institute Students Visit Microsoft Campus
    Posted on 11/06/2019

On Friday, Nov. 1, a group of almost forty Rainier Beach student athletes and their mentors took an all-day trip to Redmond, WA to participate in Microsoft MANCODE Technology Conference. The trip was organized by RBHS Academic Sports Institute (ASI).

MANCODE aims to provide technological and educational classes and exposure to careers in the technology industry to middle and high school students. Our student athletes had an opportunity to take classes in Coding, App Development, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Website Design, Professional Development, Resume Building, and establishing a professional presence on sites like LinkedIn. They also met with Microsoft employees to hear about working in the technology industry.

The students were inquisitive and engaged in exploring all the opportunities offered during the visit. It was a proud moment!
