Summer Changes to the ORCA Card Program
    Posted on 05/02/2019

    Dear Parent or Guardian:

This message is to inform you of changes to your child’s ORCA card through Seattle Public Schools and City of Seattle’s ORCA Opportunity Program. The ORCA program is funded for the 2018-2019 school year to offer ORCA cards to eligible middle school and all high school students.  ORCA cards will now be extended through the Summer, with an expiration date of August 31, 2019, at which point cards will deactivated.

This Summer extension only applies to those students who have claimed their ORCA card by June 20th, 2019. No ORCA cards can be claimed after June 20th and no replacement cards will be available during the Summer months. Make sure to keep your ORCA card safe place and in good condition!

Replacement ORCA cards during the Summer may be acquired by contacting one of the following:

ORCA card requests will be processed weekly and must be picked up at the Seattle Public Schools Building located at 2445 3rd Ave. S Seattle, WA 98134. ORCA cards will not be mailed, no exceptions.

Students are responsible for keeping their assigned ORCA card in good condition through the Summer. Reporting a lost, stolen or damaged ORCA card should be done immediately so we can deactivate the card to prevent unauthorized use. Thank you!
