Reading Options for Rainier Beach Students During Remote Learning
    Posted on 10/04/2020
read onlineEven though the school building is temporarily closed, there are many options for Beach Readers to get books for leisure reading and learning!

If you prefer "real" (hard copy) books, our library offers curbside checkout every time teachers have a supply distribution event - visit our website often and check calendar announcements for upcoming events. We will always have a selection of great books to check out, but if you're looking for a specific book, please look it up in RBHS Library Catalog through our Library web page AND email Ms. Sarah, RBHS librarian, to confirm availability; then come to a scheduled distribution event to check out your book.

Not able to come to curbside checkout? Not to worry - there are countless reading options awaiting you online!

Library Link is a collaboration between Seattle Public Schools and Seattle Public Library and a fantastic FREE resource for reading and learning, including eBooks and audiobooks. This padlet will give you information on how to use Library Link - spend some time exploring it to make the best of all it has to offer. Among all the awesome reading options, notice the lists of ALWAYS AVAILABLE comics from Hoopla! Please note that whenever Library Link asks for your "library card," it really means your Library Link number, based on your SPS Student ID number.

That's not all! Please click here for other great resources for online reading for all ages. The images below will take you the Read Online! and Library Link padlets.
