I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Loyola Marymount University, a Master’s degree and teaching certificate from Heritage University, and administrative certification from Heritage University. Over the course of my 21 years in education, I served as the Athletic Director at Valley High School and Learning Center in Los Angeles, a school for at-risk, gang involved youth.  In Seattle, I’ve served as a Site Coordinator for Interagency, teacher at John Marshall Alternative High School, House Administrator at Meany Middle School, Assistant Principal at Franklin High School, and Principal at South Lake High School.

High quality instruction, collaboration and positive relationships are the foundation for building a strong educational community.  Education gives our youth opportunity and access to successful futures.  I’m committed to creating a culture of success for at-risk youth.  Failure is not an option and I will continue to do the necessary work to ensure successful outcomes for our students.
