    Welcome to the Counseling Center

RBHS Counseling Team works with students to help them navigate high school and develop strategies for success in academics, social skills, and in considering their post-high school plans and career options.

Counselors encourage students to become aware of their individual strengths, develop methods for setting goals and dealing with challenges, make good choices, and advocate for themselves. Counselors also help students deal with social and emotional issues.

School-Day PSAT and SAT - Important Updates

Seattle Public Schools has cancelled the January administration of the school day PSAT & PSAT/NMSQT.

The College Board will not be providing additional school-day administration dates for the PSAT/NMSQT during the 2020-21 school year.

The PSAT/NMSQT is the route of entry into the National Merit Scholarship Program. Since students were unable to take the 2020 PSAT/NMSQT (offered in October 2020 and January 2021) due to  school closures, students may use SAT scores as alternative method for entry requirements.

Information can be found in this document - Alternate Entry to the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Please make sure to note all requirements and deadlines outlined in the document.

Questions specific to the National Merit Scholarship Program should be directed to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation or the College Board
