Dear Viking Families!
We have completed the first week of school! My heart is full as we had an amazing first three days full of positive energy and joy throughout the campus. We are so impressed with our scholars and their response to the three initiatives we are focusing on to eliminate barriers to the instructional excellence we are building at the BEACH. We believe your partnership with our staff has made the difference! Please continue to speak with your student about the importance of starting on time and showing up to learn, embracing responsibility for managing their cell phone, and making good decisions to practice safe habits. We got this!
Below, please find important information and upcoming dates to save in your calendar. Thank you again for entrusting us with the care of your scholar. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to email Principal Patu alpatu@seattleschools.org.
Hot Weather
Due to the hot weather, the temperature in the building has been pretty warm as we do not have central air conditioning. We are using lots of fans, pulling shades, and turning off lights to keep cool. We are working with the District in obtaining portable air conditioners if the weather doesn’t change. It’s probably a good idea to have your scholar dress lightly (school appropriate) until the weather cools off.
Off Campus Consent Forms for Juniors and Seniors
Please check your Talking Points and/ or School App messages to download the off-campus permission form or have your student pick one up in the main office. Please remind your student that they only have 30 minutes for lunch and to make sure they come back on time.

The student handbook has been sent via Talking Points and the School App, and will be available on our website soon. It will give you lots of information on school policies and guidelines.
