Build Your Future: A Summer Opportunity for RBHS Students

Summer Opportunity for Students – Get Nominated Today!

Hello Viking Families,

We are reaching out on behalf of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and advancing careers in construction and the built environment. This organization is excited to invite Seattle Public Schools students to apply for Build Your Future, an exclusive, hands-on, three-day experience designed for students interested in the built environment: engineering, construction management, project management, and architecture.

Participation is by Nomination Only

This is a selective opportunity, and students must be nominated by a school counselor, teacher, or principal in order to apply. Each student must submit both a nomination and an application to be considered for the program.

Eligibility

Students must be entering their junior or senior year in the Fall of 2025.

Program Details

  • Dates: June 23-25, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Location: AGC Building in Seattle (Westlake)
  • Cost: Fully funded – no financial barriers for selected students.
  • Transportation: Students must arrange their own transportation to and from the AGC Building. All transportation during the event will be provided.

What Students Will Experience

  • Exclusive access to industry leaders in engineering, construction, architecture, and project management.
  • Visits to active jobsites and corporate offices to see real-world applications.
  • Guidance on college and training pathways for careers in construction management.
  • Hands-on learning experiences connecting classroom skills to industry practices.

Nomination & Application Process

Due to limited space, we are requesting that schools nominate students who would be a strong fit for this opportunity. Each student must submit both a nomination and an application to be considered.

We have sent copies of application and nomination forms to families of RBHS juniors and sophomores via Talking Points; please let us know if you have not received our message and we’ll send you another copy. The forms can be returned to Candace Conroy at CConroy@agcwa.com . Applications and nominations are due by Friday, April 11th.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to working with you to identify students who would benefit from this opportunity.
