9th and 10th Graders: MAP Testing is on Wednesday, October 15
Dear Families of RBHS 9th and 10th Graders,
We want to let you know that on Wednesday, October 15th, all 9th and 10th grade students will be taking the MAP (Measures of Academic Progress)test while 11th and 12th graders are taking the SAT/ PSAT. Testing will begin promptly at 8:50 AM. Students will be taking their tests in their Advisories.
MAP is a diagnostic test to measure students’ growth in Reading, Writing and Math and is used by teachers to differentiate instruction so it meets every student’s needs.
In order to test, students must have an SPS-issued laptop. If your scholar does not already have one, they must pick up a laptop Before the test day. Laptops can be checked out from the school library at any time leading up to the test. Laptops will Not be checked out the morning of the test as we must start testing promptly at 8:50 am.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to our testing coordinator, Annie DeGroot, at akdegroot@seattleschools.org .
A PowerPoint presentation with more details has been sent to students’ school email and to families on Talking Points.
