May-June Newsletter from Principal Patu

Dear Viking Families,

I hope this newsletter finds you well. We have been in the new building a little over 5 weeks and the atmosphere feels amazing! Our scholars and staff are utilizing and enjoying all of the new spaces and opportunities for new learning. The transition went smoothly, and we cannot thank you enough for partnering with us on this momentous feat.

We are now in the last stretch of the school year with only seventeen school days left (last day is June 18th). As we prepare to finish strong, please encourage your scholar to take advantage of all the extra support opportunities we have to ensure they pass every course. Attendance matters and is the number one reason our scholars fall behind.

Below, please find a calendar of the remaining activities and intervention opportunities for the month of May and June. If you have a Senior, please see the calendar below and the Senior checklist of activities to be completed before graduation. As always, if you have any questions, please email me directly or call the main office at 206.252.6350. Thank you.

In your service,

Annie Patu
Principal
Rainier Beach High School
